Located in the department of Isère, in the Ecrins massif between the villages of Mont de Lans and Venosc, the resort of Les 2 Alpes is known for its sporting and trendy spirit. Built in 1946, Les 2 Alpes was originally a land for cattle breeding. The first hostel to accommodate tourists was built in 1934, but it was only in 1946 that the very first ski lift was built. The name of the resort is inspired by its geolocation, between the Alpe de Mont de Lans and the Alpe de Venosc. In 1973, summer skiing was launched thanks to the snow cover on the glacier and the construction of the Le Jandri gondola lift.

Come and ski in les 2 Alpes

Situated a few kilometres from the ski resort of Chamrousse, in Isère, Les 2 Alpes is an easily accessible resort. Coming from Grenoble, follow the motorway then the Briançon and Vizille exits. Then take the RD1091 towards Bourg d'Oisans until you reach the Chambon dam, then turn right towards the D213 to the station. Located 70 km from Les Deux Alpes, the Grenoble railway station offers shuttle buses throughout the year. Finally, from Grenoble-Isère and Lyon-Saint-Exupéry airports, VFD, Blablabus and other lines provide transfers to the station.
